About the event
We are feeling so honoured to be able to offer this workshop with an incredible practitioner, Melissa Krawecki. In this three hour session learners will have the opportunity to come together to examine their own ethics and beliefs about death and dying and examine how those impact their clinical work with clients. In addition we will discuss how to support the bereaved in the immediate hours after a death, what to say, what not to say and concerns for clients specifically within the first year after a death. This trauma informed and loss inclusive session will use storytelling and decompression activities to provide tangible “take-aways” for learners to feel they understand supporting perinatal and child loss with a deeper understanding.
Melissa Krawecki is a mother of two daughters with one living child. Diagnosed with Hellp syndrome in her first pregnancy, Melissa’s daughter Ava was subsequently stillborn at 35 weeks gestation.
