About the event

Love savasana? This class is for you! It’s basically a guided yoga lounge (nap?) session with periodic reminders to breathe and change position.

We’ll start with a gentle warmup to loosen our muscles and tune into our nervous systems. Then we’ll ease onto the floor for a series of simple poses supported by props. No experience necessary, bring your own blanket and any other favourite props (eye pillow, straps, bolster).

This is a sensory-soothing class that will use quiet music and gentle movement to calm the nervous system.

We’ll provide pillows.

Do I need a mat? Yes. Please bring your own.

Hosted by: Dance Artist and Movement Educator, Bizz Varty

Bizz Varty is a disabled and neurodivergent dance artist, movement educator, and mother. She teaches dance, yoga, and Pilates and provides movement-based therapy for hypermobility and chronic pain management (and no other things). She founded the Centre of Movement Arts, presenter of the London Dance Festival, now in its 10th year.

Accessibility: Disabled participants are welcome, please reach out with any questions about access and support. The building has **about 6** stairs at the entrance, and the washroom is on the second floor with stair access only. Bizz will provide audio description of the movements for blind and low-vision participants. ASL interpretation may be available by request.
